Happy Sunday

It's been a while since my last post. I have been busy, busy with new projects. It has become a full time job keeping my space full at Cottage Charm. Not that I am complaining, I am quite thankful.I did manage to take a day off last Sunday and we went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena. The place is amazing! Sorry I didn't
take pictures.
Here are some projects that I have completed in the last couple of weeks.

This beverage cart is one of many items that we picked up at a fabulous garage sale. All I can say is that we scored at this sale. The lady was moving and had so many beautiful things. She even took us on a tour of her house. It was as if I stepped into a Romantic Homes magazine.

Got this sweet pink bistro set at the same sale.

These chairs came from the same sale. Love the birds on the back.

Best Friend Buffet

We found this buffet about a year ago, it sat in my parents garage for several months until my best friend/sister seen it and wanted it. Overall it was in great shape with adorable hand painted designs. The top was the only thing that needed to be re done. So as my BFF waited patiently for a couple of months I stripped the top and painted it with ASCP in Old White added clear and dark wax and it was finished. She loved it and now sits in her home!!

Storage Space Shortage

Since we have packed our garage with our junkin finds our formal living and dining rooms have been transformed into the over flow storage. If you look real hard you might find the actual furniture that belong in the rooms. Every time we clear it out we buy more.. it's a vicious cycle of clearing and cleaning and then re stocking... Weather permitting we hope to have most of it out in the next couple of weeks.

Estate Sale Finds

The last two weeks of estate sale shopping have been a bust for me. Coming home each time with an empty SUV. You can imagine my reluctance when my mom suggested we drive about 25 miles to one. So glad I did cause I scored these beautiful dressers and matching night stands. I usually do not buy big furniture at these sales, they are priced too high for me to make much of a profit, but I got a killer deal on these. Here are pictures of my score. Please excuse my poor picture taking, My husband is a much better photographer.

This dresser has a mirror.

Not sure when I will get these painted but once I do I will post the pictures.

New addtions

My space at Cottage Charm was looking rather sparse after the Ivy St. Market. We sold several pieces so I had to get to work and crank out some more furniture.

The weather was nice last week so I was able to finish a couple of pieces. Here is a shabby dresser that I painted white and distressed. There is also a matching desk and night stand

Painted Dresser and Mini Storage Cabinet

Today I finished these two items. With January being so sunny and warm here in Southern California how could I not take advantage of the weather and get some painting done. This dresser came out great, all the drawers open with ease.

This little storage cabinet was green, but I decided that a more industrial look would make it stand out more... So did I pull it off?

Happy New Year!!!

Hope everyone has recovered from New Years Eve. The Hubby and I took the kids to Universal Studios. The weather was great and it wasn't crowded. The kids had a blast.
The rest of the weekend was spent working on projects. Our first month at Cottage Charm was successful!! We hope it continues.
The weather has been in 80's, perfect for painting. Here are a couple of pieces that we finished and added to our space. I hope the weather holds out so we can get more work done.
Hope everyone has a blessed week.
